The chef
Angelo Pumilia
Angelo Pumilia is the talented chef who has led the kitchen at La Foresteria Planeta since it opened in 2009. He was chef counselor for Prior Corp. in Japan, where he oversees the Angelo Court Tokyo restaurant. He studied with chef Moreno Cedroni and was the executive chef at Clandestino Sushi Bar in Portonovo.
A curious world traveler, he has explored the cuisines of India, China, Israel, Texas, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, France and Spain. His cuisine is based on the harmony of two souls: a connection with the land and his hometown of Sciacca, and Japan, where local seafood cuisine has merged with the culture of Japanese cuisine, reflected in the creative and tasty dishes he offers his guests.

The restaurant at La Foresteria Planeta is truly a unique place. Overlooking a vineyard and overlooking the sea, surrounded by aromatic herbs and flowers, it is an invitation to immerse yourself in nature, forgetting the boundary between inside and outside.
