La Foresteria Wine Resort awarded the MICHELIN Key for the third consecutive year
La Foresteria Planeta Estate, the Planeta family’s Wine Resort in Menfi, on Sicily’s south-western coast, has been recognised by the MICHELIN Guide for the third consecutive year with one MICHELIN Key, an award celebrating hotels that offer the world’s most outstanding stays.
The 2026 selection, seen through the eyes of the MICHELIN Inspectors, reflects a hospitality landscape in constant evolution, responding to the needs of increasingly flexible and curious travellers. The boundaries between business and leisure travel are becoming ever more blurred, with journeys often combining the two — laptop in tow. Interest is also growing in a less conventional form of luxury, one that brings guests closer to nature, from tents to trailers set amid unspoilt landscapes. Properties offering a greater sense of intimacy and privacy are also increasingly sought after.
