Heading for Ferdinandea Island: Four-Hands Dinner with Nino Ferreri (Limu)
FOUR HANDS DINNER
Nino Ferreri e Angelo Pumilia
The second event of I Forestieri: food and wine gatherings featuring chefs, producers, and key figures from the international culinary scene.
The signature culinary series continues at La Foresteria: for this special occasion, chefs Nino Ferreri and Angelo Pumilia crafted a journey spanning land and sea, memory and research, inspired by Ferdinandea Island—the phantom isle that appears and vanishes, suspended between myth and geography.
Accompanying the tasting menu were Serra Ferdinandea wines, harvested from the vineyard overlooking the very stretch of sea where the island briefly surfaced.
Nino Ferreri
Born in Trabia (Palermo) in 1989, the young chef developed his passion for cooking during his teenage years. Realizing early on that this craft was his true calling, he turned it into a profession. He went on to work in prestigious kitchens across Italy and abroad, honing his technique while cultivating his gourmet identity through first-hand experience with prime regional ingredients, biodiversity, and culinary traditions both in Italy and beyond the Alps.
Today, Ferreri is also an entrepreneur. His restaurant, Limu, set within one of Bagheria’s most captivating historic landmarks, revives the 16th-century charm of Torre Ferrante.
