La Segreta Country House in Menfi, nestled in the unspoiled nature of southwestern Sicily, is a place where you can rediscover the sense of home and a warm family welcome.
The name “La Segreta Country House” pays tribute to one of Planeta’s first iconic labels, which this year was presented with a renewed graphic design inspired by the intimate dialogue between the company and nature, to tell the story of a new Sicily that is mindful of sustainability.
Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Menfi
the property features 10 rooms named after 10 flowers mentioned in the volume Acis Hortus Regius, created between the late 18th and early 19th century by Giuseppe Riggio, a botanist and pharmacist from Acireale, and the painter Emanuele Grasso. This rare example of a painted herbarium vividly and poetically captures the region’s floral heritage, depicting many of the flower varieties that still thrive in the Sicilian landscape today.
