The project
Landscape and sustainability
Insula is a club marked by its strong focus on sustainability and is a tribute to the landscape of Menfi, where Planeta’s journey in Sicily began.
The club is immersed in nature, a short distance from Lido Fiori, a wild, uncontaminated beach with reddish hues, dunes with wild vines and lush maritime vegetation that fades into the crystal clear sea, offering endless shades of blue. It is an ideal place to enjoy natural beauty.
The Design
Mediterranean contaminations and style
Insula is a place that offers a journey into both Sicily and the world.
Mediterranean style is enriched by extraordinary pieces of craftsmanship and design, such as chairs made in Marrakech by a social cooperative of Moroccan women workers or furniture produced by Italian companies that keep local craft traditions alive. This mixture of influences creates a unique atmosphere that reflects the culture and taste of the Planeta family.
Hospitality
Silence, hospitality and relaxation
Insula is a place of tranquility where you can rediscover and enjoy all the special features of Planeta’s signature hospitality. Through a path among reeds, pines, and sea lilies, the doors of Insula open onto an oasis of well-being. Here, in the shade of the pine forest, you find the boutique with a selection of Mediterranean artisanal handicrafts and, of course, Planeta products. There is also a massage area to indulge in a moment of relaxation.

and Lounge Bar
The Insula restaurant blends seamlessly into the surrounding maritime vegetation, with a large natural wood bar overlooking the open kitchen. This is the realm of chef Angelo Pumilia, who offers cuisine based on the products of the sea and land of Menfi, mixing culinary influences from all over the Mediterranean basin.
The restaurant seats 60, with a large convivial table and other tables outside in the shade of pine trees, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy local delicacies.
