Website Accessibility Statement

Information on the accessibility of the service provided pursuant to Article 12(2) and Annex IV of Italian Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act)

1. Introduction and scope

Planeta Estate S.r.l., with registered office at Contrada Dispensa int. 1, 92013 Menfi (AG), Italy, VAT No. 03044660847 (hereinafter the “Provider”), as an economic operator providing services to consumers through its digital channels, is committed to ensuring that the website https://www.planetaestate.it/ is accessible to the widest possible range of users, including persons with disabilities. This statement is made in fulfilment of the information obligations laid down in Article 12(2) and Annex IV of Italian Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022, transposing Directive (EU) 2019/882, and describes the level of compliance of the service with the accessibility requirements set out in Annex I to that Decree, as well as with the technical standards of UNI CEI EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance Level AA. This statement fully supersedes any previous accessibility statement published by the Provider in respect of the above website.

2. Compliance status

The website is not compliant with the accessibility requirements laid down by Legislative Decree 82/2022 and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Non-compliance means that some of the content and features can also be used with assistive technologies, while other parts present barriers that the Provider has identified and undertakes to remove progressively, during the next updates to the website and in any event by 28 June 2030.

3. Technical standards and assessment methodology

The compliance of the service is assessed against the harmonised standard UNI CEI EN 301 549, which provides a presumption of conformity with the requirements of the Decree, and against WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

The status stated in section 2 is based on a preliminary review carried out by the Provider on the current configuration of the website. A full technical audit against all applicable criteria of the standard, including automated testing, manual checks and testing with commonly used assistive technologies, will be carried out during the next update of the website. Following that audit, this statement will be updated with a detailed list of the criteria not met.

4. Non-accessible content and exceptions

The content listed below is not currently accessible. The list reflects the preliminary review described in section 3 and is not exhaustive.

The home page contains a background video that plays automatically and continuously, with no controls to pause or stop it.

The images that act as links to the accommodation facilities and offers, as well as some social media icons, lack a text alternative, so screen readers cannot announce where these links lead. In the meantime, the information may be requested using the contact details in section 6.

The navigation controls of the home page carousels (facilities, offers and news) are not implemented as buttons and cannot be fully operated using a keyboard or assistive technologies.

In the newsletter sign-up form, the consent checkbox is not associated with a label, so its purpose is not announced by screen readers.

The website does not provide a link to skip directly to the main content, which affects navigation by keyboard and with screen readers.

The online booking service, provided on an external platform (booking.planetaestate.it), has not been checked for accessibility. In the meantime, bookings may be requested using the contact details in section 6.

As at the date of this statement, no disproportionate burden assessments have been made pursuant to Article 13 of the Decree. Should any such assessments be made in the future, they will be set out in this section on the basis of the criteria in Annex V, documented and retained by the Provider, and reviewed whenever the conditions under which the service is provided change.
